Gautham Menon is known for his Succesfull movies.Now himself is in problems for his upcoming thriller movie Thuppariyum Anand.Suriya commited himself to stare in Gautam menon's next but admist he is replacing Vijay in Shankar's 3 idiots remake he may not available for this movie.The official cinematographer of Gautam Manoj Praamhansa who has been a regular in all Menon's films, has gone ahead and committed himself to work for Shankar's '3 Idiots', remake without getting 'prior permission' from Menon who wanted to sign him up for his successive films.
As 3 idiots remake for Suriya to be the first film with Shankar, Suriya is said to have 'informed' of his decision to Menon that he would be starring in Shankar's film and, therefore, may not be able to work with him.After hearing this from Suriya Gautam went to his father and discussed the issue. Suriya 's father Siva Kumar told that his elder son had no other option, Sivakumar is said to have mooted the idea of casting his younger son Karthi in Suriya's place. Menon, though resisted it at first, later thought about it and settled down to agree to Sivakumar's idea.
