The 58th National Film Awards presentation ceremony will be held today and the winners will be awarded in Delhi.The awards were announced in the month of May.

Kollywood has bagged 16 National awards special Dada Saheb Phalke Award-K Balachander, Best Actor-Dhanush, Best Actress-Saranya Ponvannan, Best Director- Vetrimaran, Best Screenplay- Vetrimaran, Best Editing- T.E.Kishore, Best Choreography- Dinesh Kumar, Best Supporting Actor- Thambi Ramaiah, Best Supporting Actress- Sukumari, Best Lyrics- Vairamuthu, Best Production Design- Sabu Cyril, Best Special Effects- V. Srinivas M Mohan, Best Costume Design- Indrans Jayan, Best Tamil Film- Thenmerkku Paruvakkatru and Special Mention – Acting- V.I.S. Jeyabalan.
